More than 750 electric vehicles imported through the Korala crossing were held up in Upper Mustang after floods, landslides and river erosion damaged the Beni–Jomsom–Korala road, Nepal Drives reported, citing Gorkhapatra Online. The vehicles were intended for Nepal's festive-season market, but poor road conditions have complicated onward transport after arrival at the border.

The report says some vehicles have completed customs clearance yet remain difficult to move over muddy sections of the Jomsom–Beni route. Road repairs are under way, with limited one-way movement possible in places. It does not establish a reliable date for all affected vehicles to reach showrooms.

For EV buyers waiting on an imported car, the disruption is a reminder to confirm the status of a specific vehicle with the dealer before relying on a delivery estimate. The reported count describes vehicles held up at the time of the source report, not a verified current stock figure.
