More than 3,100 electric vehicles passed through the Korala border point in Asoj, according to Mustang customs chief Bidur Chudal, as reported by MeroAuto. He said the checkpoint handled about 4,500 EVs across the first three months of the current fiscal year. The office also reported collecting Rs 9.17 billion in revenue by the end of Asoj, above its Rs 9 billion full-year target. These are customs-clearance figures, not retail sales.

Importers have used Korala more heavily while the Rasuwagadhi and Tatopani routes have been closed, the report said. But moving cleared vehicles onward remains difficult: flood damage and poor conditions on the Kali Gandaki corridor have left roughly 1,500 vehicles in Mustang, according to the same account. For Nepal buyers awaiting booked EVs, the figures signal incoming stock, though customs clearance alone does not establish when an individual vehicle will reach a showroom or customer.
