The Kia Seltos accounted for 316 of the 975 petrol compact SUVs imported into Nepal from January through October 15, 2026, according to import figures reported by MeroAuto. That is about 32% of the reported segment. The Hyundai Creta led with 577 units, or roughly 59%, and together the two models represented more than nine in ten imports in this category.
MeroAuto counted a further 50 Volkswagen Taigun, 27 Skoda Kushaq and six Nissan Tekton imports during the same period. For Nepal buyers comparing petrol SUVs, these figures show that the segment remains concentrated in two established models despite the presence of other choices. Import counts are not retail sales or a measure of current dealer inventory, however. The numbers also stop at mid-October, so they should not be treated as full-month results or as evidence of which model individual buyers ultimately chose.
