Nepal imported 3,695 electric cars across 22 brands in the month of Asoj, according to customs figures cited by MeroAuto. Six models crossed 100 imported units. Dongfeng Nammi Vigo led that group with 829 units, followed by BYD ATTO 2 with 638 and BYD ATTO 1 with 350. The figures describe vehicles entering Nepal, not retail deliveries to customers.
MeroAuto also lists 333 Tata Punch EVs, 150 BYD Atto 3s and 125 Chery iCAR V23s among the six. The spread suggests distributors stocked up for the Dashain and Tihar sales period, but a single month of imports cannot establish sustained buyer demand or market share. For shoppers, the figures show which electric models had substantial incoming supply during Asoj; actual showroom availability, variant choice and prices still need checking with local dealers.
