Flood and landslide damage on the Beni–Jomsom–Korala road could require Rs 3 billion to Rs 4 billion to repair properly, according to a report by MeroAuto citing corridor project chief Tejaswi Sharma. The report says about 50 landslide sites and 10 flood-hit sites affected the route. Its preliminary estimate puts direct damage at roughly Rs 800 million to Rs 900 million; the larger figure is the projected cost of restoring the road more durably, not a confirmed budget allocation.

Traffic has resumed after temporary repairs, but the report says some sections remain narrow or operate one way, with vehicles still facing delays. A temporary crossing was built after the Kali Gandaki washed away a bridge near Pokharebagar. The Myagdi section is described as the worst affected part of the 202-kilometre corridor. For Nepal motorists and car importers using the Korala route, the distinction matters: a road being technically open does not mean normal journey times or reliable freight movement have returned. Travellers should check current conditions before setting out, as the report does not give a firm date for full reconstruction.
